It is alexander's grand daughter who went to Cheetham parish church to look at births and she found Alex and Bella but she thought she had Edward but says in her message to me that it was very difficult to read the records. |

If the record was on a Parish register, it was not a birth.......it was a baptism |

yes Alex was baptised on 16th November 1885, I also have the godparents name. |

I'm wondering if the 1960 one is more likely. I don't think he died young from what family say, plus I've just realised he is in a photo with my mum who was born in 1943 |

they quite often spelt the name Mc Kenna with a space inbetween, not sure why! |

I was told somewhere on researching another side of my family also from manchester that many lancashire records were destroyed or damaged in a fire. |

The Lancs records that were damaged (by water) were parts of the 1851 census..........so they won't be relevant for the time-scale you're looking at just now. |

I did!, but there are so many posts now. A lot of this is from a printed word document she gave me at a family reunion last week and its a nightmare deciphering it. |
