As Charlotte is listed as being an aunt, I wondered is we might find her surname. I have checked for marriages between Truscott & Dinner as well Searle & Dinner, no luck tho.

Trouble is they used naming patterns in these years so all the sons used the same names in their families so you have to be carefull as to the right children to the right parents.

On the 1881 and 1891 Census, Charlotte is listed as being an Aunt. That is why I have put this information, so somebody else can check to see if I have proved that it is the same family.

Correction from James to Samuel made due to transcription error ...... sent in by a R Menhennet in January 2010. A Menhennet has a Public Family Tree on ancestry that has these names in them. But he has not followed Charlotte past the 1851 Census.

I agree with you, MY is probably Mary.

I think I will leave it now, I believe that Charlotte did indeed marry Peter Dinner. As there is no 1851 Census of a John Dinnear and Charlotte, it was probably mistranscribed, but do not know how Peter became a John!!
