I think I have found their marriage on freebmd. Jun 1899 in stockton. I matched up the numbers (10a 113) and it matches with a thomas bowman and ellen macintosh? Believe it or not I have never used freebmd before! Am learning all these new things, very exciting! |

How have you linked the marriage of Ellen Bowman - father Thomas - to the Thomas Bowman born in Southwark in 1880/1, if you haven't got any documentary proof? |

The christening of ellen says father thomas and mother ellen. I know that Thomas was definately ellens father and his details are correct from speaking to my husbands great grandmother, ellens daughter ivy, before she passed away. |

Ok, removing southwark, i have found a thomas bowman, married to an ellen in the 1901 census with a daughter kathleen, occupation is coal carman! going to see if i can find kathleen christening now. |

Yes that looks good. Fulham as well so would match with other daughters births. Stupidly never changed surname spelling. |
