I wonder if anyone can help me please re Mary Ellen Crumby/Cromby..she was born abt 1870 and married James William Brierley in Manchester.On the census it states born Manchester but family word has it that she was born in Ireland.On her wedding cert her father is Hugh Crumby..can anyone look at Irish records for me please to see if this could be true...thank you.. |

I have found her on the 1911,living in Yorkshire.James William was in the army in the Yorks and Lancashire regiment.It states born Manchester for her on there as well... |

Fannybygaslight...I asked my cousin and she said that it was thought Irish/Liverpudlian or Scottish...in other words...she had an accent!. |
