Henry G Carradine born 27.2.1916 died June 1985 in UCKFIELD Essex
The same place as Elizabeth on gravestone.

I think previous post that says Elizabeth Jones who married henry Gibbs carradine is the Lady in the grave.

Henry Gilbert Carradine seems to have married in Middlesex 1936 found two daughters to that marriage and again in 1973 in Uckfield.

Hi Mary, I think the discrepancies are down just to the differing dates that the various images refer to for eg when William was called up he was 17 and some months, and further on, the page has him as 18 and 8 months I think it was ( not looking at images at the moment) , the ages for Muriel and Elizabeth are after his death when pension papers came into it , so do tally with the ages on that 1911 i believe,

Just been looking through war records for William Nunian,on 2 occassions it says father John Nunian of Rock House Capel Road Llanelly??
Whats that about as on others it says 31 Swansea rd,that is also his address at time of death for John.

Also John and margaret had 2 children that died one David James Nunian I prossume who was 5 months on 1901 census died Sept 1901 the other one ??
so would they not be in same grave.
All irrelavant i know but thought I would post it anyway.

Interesting that Elizabeth Carradine on grave insccription doesn't say middled name Jane,or does it.

When it says Elizabeth Jane full blood next of kin age 24,was that in Nov 1917 meaning that Elizabeth born 1893??

In next of kin has 'full blood sibling' Elizabeth Jane aged 24 when sister Muriel was 16

So was that Elizabeth Jones that married Henry Gibbs Carradine in 1913 Margaret Jones niece?and John Nunians niece by marriage therefore.
So she would have been born Jones and not Nunian.

Just a thought .... If you can trace where Brinley Francis was buried then perhaps it might be worth checking to see if Elizabeth is buried with him (not always, but very often wife is buried with husband). If she is, then Elizabeth Carradine is someone else ....

Oh my gosh how do you find out about the probate? Thats so interesting to know. Is it because I'm only on standard? You've all bn so helpful though. Its turning into a proper little mystery know, my heads spinning!

Gravestone is in Llanelli yes, at Box cemetary (no church or chapel there dont think) It reads:

Elizabeth would have been my Great-Grandmothers cousin. John + Margaret being her aunt and uncle.

To be honest, I shall have to go and check it myself, a friend wrote it down for me, maybe missed something out.

There was a Elizabeth Jane Francis married in Llanelly 1922 to Thomas Thomas wether it is the same E.J francis i don't know.

John Nunian of 31 Swansea Rd died 20/8/1929 probate proved Jan 1931 left to Margaret his widow £425.17 s

Because her brother and parents are correct on there, it even says about the brother being killed in the war, location right aswell. The address is also right. I cant imagine who else this Elizabeth is though, unless they had another daughter 10 yrs later and named her Elizabeth also, and then it was she who married this carradine. It really is annoying me now! I'll have to go on "Who do you think you are?" and let them do it for me. Trouble is as far as I'm aware I'm not famous :]

If the birthdate on the grave is 10 years out and The name Carradine not known to you ...how do you know it's the right grave ?
