Hi I have since found out from my mother that Cobridge is the place he has stated as living on the marriage certificate, so I now dont have any idea where he was born. There is an address though so will try that route. |

Gordon definately didnt have a 2nd initial in his name. On marriage cert if was just Gordon - surely he would have to declare on a legal document ? |

As far as we know he was definately born in Staffordshire. I have been in touch about trying to get hold of his Service Records, hopefully that should give me a bit more information. |

But if he was born say in Dec 1927 and birth not registered until Jan 1928 say, would that work ? |

Age 19 in May 1946 rules out the 1928 birth.......... |

I take it that you got Gordon's 'father's' name from the marriage cert? |

Thanks Rose. Neither Gordon or Muriel had middle initials. I think Bloor birth was registered Jan/Feb/Mar 1928 and there is a Bebbington registered in Jan/Feb/Mar 1927, just need to try and find out for definate which one it is. |

If he was born in Cobridge then it could be the Bloor birth. There's no middle initial on the marriage. |
