re,. mary cowen death...thought I had her on the1911 census but it was 1891 when she was 34yrs( i was wrong again no wonder you cuddn't figure me sums you'll be sayin oh no not her again !!!! ) so yes you found her death that's why only her two children John and Isabella left next door at no 8 birket st thanks for that pet..didn't they die young in those days..and we think we have it hard ........So there is no connection with these to SIR JOSEPH COWEN MP maybe not arrhh... |

been doing me maths from tea time cos it was never my best subject but here goes ...I have mary's birth as1819 add 55 =1874 for death, if she was 55 ..even if it was the younger Mary her daughter born 1845 less 55 would be 1890 for her ..you said there were loads of cowens in Wallsend ..the way i work i'm lucky to get Births never mind deaths I may have another Mary hiding away somewhere ..sorry the answer to your question is I just don't know but thanks anyway keep cowens in mind there may be one next door to you . |

hi Annie married Edward Sutherland at, looks like st Lukes church in parish of Wallsend on feb 27th 1897...writing not too clear but looks like 14 Crawly rd for Eds address and 5 Wanless st for Annie... ummmm |

Just in case you dont have Edwards details..he was son of George and Isabella (Both from Berwick)..lived down Long Row Wallsend . He was born Wallsend but in Clyde St. (1876). |

Hi to all me canny bairns, just to keep you up to date I received marriage certificate for Annie Cowen and Edward Allan Sutherland this morning (heaven sent after last night )forgotten I'd ordered it ..so great I thought this will tell me Mary Cowen's husband yes well it does but couldn't decipher christian name it actually looks like Ashia or Aspin Cowen if such a name exists he was an engineer..will try to do some research later... thanks ..... |

well it's like this...i have a Mary Cowen1856 howden if thats near willington quay ? as in Tempests find actually all her children were born in Walker ..but on 1891 census they lived at 5 wanless st wallsend sorry it was Annie who lived at 9 birket st .. I have the childrens spouses and even their children ,,,got as far as Mary and want so badly to know her husbands who died nameand date of death would be good and what her maiden name was but I think i am pushing it thank you for trying pet |

this is the right one we must now rule out the ruth and george and benwell my fault entirely sorry and so we know that she's a widow but still no husbands name or when he died I will get the twins birth cert to try to trace him he must ave been alive then to produce family umm .. |
