Find Ancestors

Hi there,
My g-grandad - Frederick Milliner Born 1887 in Hollingbourne - Died Brighton 1953. He married my g-nan (Alice) in 1911....My mum remembers my grandad (Reginald Milliner) had 1/2 brothers and sisters. So did he marry once before?
Hard to find as havent a clue where to start!!

My grandad is reginald milliner born 1918 2b 314.

So it was his mum Alice married before, well i never!...

So how many half brothers and sister has he got from his mums previous marriage.

You might want to ask someone to look at the actual image of the 1911 census, and see how many children Alice says she has had.


I would also think very seriously about ordering the marriage certificate ...... and that way you would also find out whether Frederick was a bachelor or also a widower

I will check with my mum today, but im sure she remembers my grandad having a half sister called Daisy - so all is ringing true.

On the 1911 census they have spelt his name MillEner...but i just looked at the image and im sure it reads MillIiner...

Now i would love to trace Daisy Law and see if she had children. Is the easiest route to work out roughly when she would of been married and search for Laws?

1911 census records the number children born during the marriage of the couple on the census.........not those born during previous marriages

I really want to search Benjamin Laws siblings...and then i would really like to see if and when Daisy Law married and had children.

I believe she married a charlie (charles?) Sharpe (around 1929?)
and had at least one child callled John.

Im not having much luck with that free bmd site!
