Perhaps they didn't. Elizabeth is shown as married in 1901, so may have been seperated. |

I have found a marriage for an Ethel Mary Smith and not Ethel May being married to a Alfred Gates in June 1904 but that was in Derbyshire... Am I missing the point now Also is Alan comming back onto this Link |
