The title of this post is misleading.

Shedrick (or Fredericka) was born in Cheshire as was her sister Millicent, not Manchester

OMD's..........How is it misleading

If you look Robert only posted what he knew ( see 1901 census )

Nothing thats been added has been proven

Just to confirm that the 1893 Wirral birth is indexed on Cheshire bmd...

Frederica Mary Edith Beddow....sub district Eastham.

http://www.cheshirebmd.org.uk/

No success finding Thomas and Edith on the 1891 census though.

Not blaming Robert.

Just pointing out that the census states that Shedrick was born Cheshire.
To save other researchers doing as I did - norrowing search down to Lancashire by mistake.

I have just see your tree on another site......did you know about Thomas Beddow before you put up this thread.....oh and his birth year is 1827 & not 1857

Also it seems that your Edith did marry Mr Beddow as someone has a scan of Georgina B/C and it say
Mother Edith Armitage late Beddow formally Smith

Hi Julie
Sorry have only just got back to you all.. The tree in question is my tree on ancestery which i did get the birth cert of Georgina and the mother is Edith Armitage late Beddow formally Smith.

Sorry for misunderstandings with Shedrick but this is all i have from the 1901 census and was drawing a big blank.
Needed help with her from people who know how to do some good searching which i am really grateful of.

its thrown some good ideas for me to look at now.

Many thanks to everyone who has helped me

Got the birth certificate of Fredrica Mary Edith Beddow.
She was the daughter of Edith Beddow nee Smith. Her father was Thomas Hill Beddow. Cant thank all of you enough for the great detective work you have done for me searching the archives.

Can I just say sorry for all the confusion with the many threads that I have put up. Wasn't sure how all the thread stuff worked thats why I put new ones up for each person..I know now.

Can I say that the thread I put on about George Armitage and his family regarding the 1901 census still stands if anyone can and will still help track there were abouts of the whole family. I know alot of people spat out the dummy about how many threads I put on and stopped helping. I understand this but if there are some kind person who is willing to search I would be greatfull.

Many thanks to you all again

Hi Rob

Thank you so much for coming back to tell us the outcome of the birth certificate. It is always great when someone breaks down their brick wall.

Don't worry too much about the confusion that your threads may have caused. You certainly weren't the first and won't be the last to make that mistake so please don't be put off using the boards.

Good Luck with your research.
