Electoral registers will normally be kept at the nearest main library. Pretty useless before 1919, as only then did all men over 21 and women over 30 get the vote.

Hi Brummiejan , I've just found that the Grimsby ER s are at the North Lincs' archives...so I might have to take a trip there at some time.

Yes I've 'asked around' lol, but to no avail despite people trying hard, I have the family in 1911 and know what happened to both parents but can find no further trace of the child, and not even her birth .

It might remain a mystery I think.

I think Grimsby's might be at the Town Hall'

Albert Edwin Murrell appears on the 1911 with his first wife, Maude ( as Maria on the image) and a daughter Annie aged 7, parents married 9 years .

Maude is down as being born Rauceby ( Sleaford Lincs) as is Annie... but I can find no birth on Freebmd for Annie...nor any future record....

So you are sure Maude and Maria are the same person?
