Thank you.
GRONI don't know of Creggan or Lower Creggan - so this helps a lttle bit - in fact they weren't much help at all, sending me suggestions for people born in 1860 despite me giving them the infoI've listed here - so, thank you - much appreciated.

Mike.

Thank you - I gave GRONI this information as well - suggesting that Bridget's mother could have been called McCann prior to her marriage to Peter McCaffrey/Caffrey and they said that nothing came up under this info either - I have to be honest and say that they were not particularly helpful or accommodating and I felt like a criminal for having asked. and on the first 4 searches they used info that had no bearing on the info that I had given them and were searching for Bridgets that were born in 1860 and not in Armagh.
I think that this probably is Bridget - although the age doesn't quite fit in with the age on her marriage certificate, it exactly matches the age given on the 1911 census in England where she was living with the Jeffers. The only thing that confuses me a little is that at the time of her marriage she had moved away from her sister and was living in Moston and also that her sister was not a witness at her marriage.

Is it possible to get census returns for Ireland pre- 1901? If so, where from?
And again, many thanks.

Mike
