Oh my goodness-I don't believe I'm going to say this...

Dea,
How long have you had this problem?
Have you ever been able to hover?

Cyns
I have all the ingredients at hand for a decent shrimp curry. If you'd hand me one of those brand new saucepans.......
Basmati or Jasmine, though? All out of other choices.

Happy whatever it is to Ginny !

This page has not been refreshed...I'm sure all problems have been solved.

Hi Maureen,

I am not quite sure but no, I don't believe I have ever been able to 'hover'............... Can you help??

With regard to the shrimp curry (although I am not able to eat it), I would think Jasmine would go better. ?? (My favourite is basmati but with other dishes perhaps?)

I have just bought 2 new 'wok's' if you need to borrow them you are very welcome !!

Dea Xxx

P.S. - I believe it DOES rain in New York (you are teasing !!)

Dea Xxx

Just to add (for a chuckle), I cooked a 'load' of basmati rice for the first time in my new wok and took out the servings I wanted.

I left it to cool a little, then went to tip it into a large container to put in the fridge overnight before I sorted into portions to put in the freezer!

I had forgotten how a 'non'slip' pan functions - for several years I have done this and had to chop up the rice and 'ease' it out. This time - the new surface was SO good the whole lot just tipped straight out, all over the container, the work surface, the floor, and me !!

Saved most of it though and will know better for next time.

Be careful re heating the rice it can give you botulism

My mate was close to death a few years ago after eating re heated rice....she was in hospital for three weeks

Nasty.............

Many people have told me that Ginny but I have been cooking, freezing and re-heating rice like this for the past 30+ years and have never experienced a problem !!

Perhaps I will one day, hopefully not.

Sorry Renes,

The small 'wiggle', or even a big 'wiggle' does not work for me.

I heard that about rice at a health and safety thing a few years ago....have been v.careful ever since. Actually, not that keen but it does go well with a curry!

Dea, I can't understand why, when you put the little arrow on someone's name, you can't see their number in the bar at the bottom of the page. Are you looking in the right place ??? Place your arrow over any of our names and then look down at the bottom bar and it should say :

http www.genesreunited etc.etc. and the numbers at the end are the membership number.

Maureen, thank you for your kind offer. Basmati for me thanks.

Poor Renes.....all out of connections....must have been a peaceful day for you!

Haven't done any messaging as yet so had better pull myself together......like a pair of curtains....hahahaha

It just doesn't do it Cynths !!

It must be the mouse settings??

OR... I don't have a bottom bar ??

At the bottom of my screen it just has the bar with the things that I have open.

A Globe, then a couple of symbols, then my inbox, GR, my notepad. etc.

Should I have another one??

When I right click I get a list of options and the bottom one is 'Properties'....that one gives me the number

Dea

Dea Report 21 Aug 2010 19:23

Wow Gins,

Make that 'phone call' - sounds extremely dangerous to me !! - Just think what it could have done to your poor gums !!

OOOO errr !!!

Dea

Dea Report 21 Aug 2010 19:27

Have tried the 'properties' thing Gins and it works.

Long way around to get the info but 'hey, that's Vista for you' !!!

Hubby bought me this computer with Vista thinking it was a step forward for me but unfortunately it was about 10 steps back. !!!

LOVE him but HATE the computer !!!

Do you find you have to save images and other things to your desk top Gins because Vista puts them into some 'virtual drive' thingy and you can't find them again ???

I loved the old XP - it worked on logic and my brain works on logic so even if I didn't know how to do something, I can work it out.

Vista has no 'logic' - it has a mind of it's own' !!!

I lost my bottom bar yesterday.

Waiting for number 1 son to fix it for me.

Just spent a while looking at that thread for you Maureen. It does not make sense as they had been married 22 years. Now I find there is duplicate thread. Arrrgh

Dea

Dea Report 21 Aug 2010 19:46

LK - PLEASE do not mention 'duplicate threads' on here today - I, and Michael* and many others have just about had enough of them !!!
