Ruth, if you want to pursue the Christopher Leek avenue I've found a potential family. Not proveable but maybe worth exploring. |

I was called away last night just after posting the 1881 details and I also wondered if Christopher Leek became Henry. |

Just a thought.................there seems to be an assumption that Ruth's cousin has been tracking the family when in fact all Ruth has said is that her cousin talked to her grandparents to get the info re Henry being born a Leek. |

In 1881 Martha Radley was a monthly nurse, maybe she had been looking after Christopher when his mum died. |

Sorry to but in but if Christopher Leek is with Moses in 1881 and he was born in Lewisham 1874 then why can't he be Henry radley. |

I've just come back on, and wanted to say a relative asked me a similar question recently re a genetic condition...none of the family I have traced on the two sides that connect us appear to have suffered from it...but that's really the thing, it is only modern diagnostics that have pinpointed the condition...it would just have been an 'educated guess' in times past. |
