actually they dont have a daughter Alice as she was born before they married. i would say she is Fanny Lucy's daughter but not a Luckhurst. Have you bought certs or are you going on census info only . |

this may be the answer to my link between the Maidstone Freed and the Ashford Freed. So far I have not been able to connect the 2 but this looks as if it crosses over from one to the other. Looks like she is one of the maidstone lot but grand daughter to the Ashford lot... yikes. |

perhaps luckhurst adopted her. I also have Fanny marrying Luckhurst and they have a daughter ALice, which is what you have also found. |

No she isnt william,s daughter as mum remarried in 1880 to George Pile and had just the one son Edward Pile c1881 ,. this agrees with the info they gave on the 1911 census . ie 1 child born still living |

Hang on, am I being stupid here (dont answer that!) If Alice was born in 1885 as it looks thats the case, why is she born 'Freed' when William died in 1875? |

SOO Edward PIle born c1881 is the son of George and Fanny so Alice Jane FREED born 1885 cant be their daughter,is probably one of Fanny's elder childrens child |
