Apparently the daughters had 'flowery' second names because he was a gardner! Yes, the Lacy is from the place.......but Prince? Prince Albert? Delusions of grandeur? The local pub? Who knows? Cx.

Choccy

Choccy Report 7 May 2010 17:10

there's another possible birth after 1911

Births Sep 1912 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Humphries George D Price Hereford 6a 848

Could Annie's surname perhaps be Prince ? and not Price

FannyByGaslight Report 7 May 2010 18:04

Good find Choccy, but can you now marry them off?

No Prince /Humph*marriages to be had.

I tried that one last night.

Maybe she was married before as she was old enough to have been,or just left a hubby to live with William?

Or William was married elsewhere and they couldnt marry?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 7 May 2010 18:49

Okay. Had an email from my friend. Grandmother's maiden name was Mountney.

The only marriage I can find is this one ??? What do you think????

My poor friend thinks her grandmother was born in Yorkshire (actually Derbyshire) and thinks they married in Hereford. Oh well.

If you think that marriage is reasonable Fan & Co, I will work my way back for her.

Grateful.....as ever! Cx.

FannyByGaslight Report 7 May 2010 18:54

Well..
On 1911 it says married 12 years so it should be right, cant see any reason it wouldnt be.
