Buy Lilian Phyllis Boyce-Russell's birth certificate and it will confirm her parentage. I feel sure the info provided is that which you need.
If this is one of her siblings:
Births Jun 1912 Boyce-Russell Annie W ...... mmn Herbert........ W.Ham 4a 389
and this is one of her own children:
Births Sep 1930 Giles Annie W....... Boyce-Russell...... W.Ham 4a 344
Then it has to be more than coincidence!
If it proves to be a connection, then note the mothers maiden name HERBERT on 1912 birth. This then ties in with all the other info .

Hi Christine,
I believe that her mother's name was Annie Herbert.
Annie Herbert married Thomas William Russell in 1897 and was widowed by 1901 when she had a relationship with William Boyce whom she married in 1914.
Annie was from Scotland so maybe you will find her on Scotlandspeople.

Marriages Mar 1914 BOYCE William Russell W. Ham 4a 199 Russell Annie Boyce W.Ham 4a 199
1901 Census has Annie Russell listed as a widow- see below:

As the marriage of Boyce & Russell did not take place until 1914 perhaps the reason for children being called "Boyce-Russell " ..........Possible?
Births Jun 1912 Boyce-Russell Annie W mmn Herbert W.Ham 4a 389
the maiden name of mother matches the visitors on 1901 census above and the 1st marriage of Annie Herbert in 1897

says William & Annie married 14 years but see next posting and marriage of 1897 to Thomas William Russell which would have been married 14 years in 1911. Believe that father, William Russell , on 1911 census was really William Boyce and maybe for the sake of propriety used the familys name of Russell. see marriage in 1914 in next posting.
