Tatham was born in 1908 but I cannot seem to find the family in 1911

I had just corrected his birth date!!!!! This is the family, thank you for trying. Thomas went to sea, so maybe his wife and the younger children are on a ship somewhere................Mavis

quite possible...I have tried all the children too and have not come up with anything you could ask someone who has access to emigration records to have a look for you

I don't think any of them emigrated. I should have said that someone in GR found Emma for me a while back - she was with her future in laws in a nearby village so not in Hull..............Mavis

John t Smith was widowed in 1890 when his wife Mary Stevenson nee Upton died leaving her son edward motherless

Mary also left four other children under the Surname of Stevenson
The Stevenson children father died in 1885 Middlesbrough.

I would like to know what became of those children

It makes it easy when her birth place of redcar is mentioned but cannot see anymore so she could well have died after 1891 census and the rest of the smith family are not coming up together
