I was wondering if perhaps George was born before marriage and registered in mother's maiden name or first married name? I can't find marriage of his parents though. |

I can't find a marriage for George and Clara either! |

You're confusing me now, Catherine! I was speaking of George, listed as son of Edward & Mary, possibly being a son of Mary but I can't find a marriage of Edward & Mary. |

I got confused because Dea has already posted George's birth on page one (born 1837 son of Edward and Mary) |

George was born in 1837 so this is probably the marriage:- |

I am 99% sure that the George Dea found born 23/05/1837 and baptised 25/06/1837 at Walton on Thames is the right George. On the 1911 census he is 73 which would be right as he would be 74 in May 1911 therefore born in 1837. |

Sorry for confusing the issue, I've got to start reading the thread more thoroughly before I respond. Of course, the birth of George was on page 1. |
