I apologise if I have hijacked this thread - but Hattie Peters is my family. I don't think we can go much further without knowing William's details fro the marriage cert. I have PM'd asking for this. also the witnesses and William's father's occupation may help to sort out the two families..... |

My soldier didn't have an unusual name so only way I was able to confirm my relative who died in WW1 was through Ancestry. I was able to view the telegram sent to my Gt Grandparents. |

Very odd - no record on Ancestry for the name Hattie Hillier - had expected to find either a re-marriage (if William died young) or a death.........but nothing to be found. |
