Florence Rachel sailed to Australia 3 July 1920 and returned 9 Oct 1923 so that counts her out.

As Felecie doesn't seem to exist, just thought what her name could be. It could be that she was a niece of Florence or James Henry.
There is a J H Foulger died 1917 on the cwgc site but no details. He may be Florence's husband but couldn't find any military records for him, only his son.

Ref previous enquiry. Still struggling with finding my Grandmother. At the date of her marriage the people living at 42 Rushton Street according to the electoral role were -James Foulger-,Gertrude Hughes-William Hughes -Florence Joyce-Richard Joyce. I am assuming that Florence Joyce is The daughter Florence Foulger and has married a Richard Joyce and James' wife Florence seems to not be living there but her death cert is dated 1933 so don't know what has happened there. There is no record of my Grandmother at the address but as she was 21 she would not have been old enough to vote. I have no idea who Gertrude and William Hughes are. Does anyone have them on their family tree? Thanks to everyone who as helped so far.

Felecia Marie Tees was my aunt. All my dad's birth cert shows is his father's name and his mother's name and maiden name of Foulger but nothing else. The closest I got with middle names was Beatrice Grace Foulger who is a daughter of James and Florence and once of my Aunts's second name was Grace but that's a bit tenuous and still didn't get any further. I'll check for a Marie Foulger born around 1900 tho, it might show something. Been through the trees on genes and not getting far! The one with Ernest and Felicie married is mine! thanks for your help

Isn't it Grace Beatrice and not Beatrice grace born to James Henry and Florence in Oct 1899. There was a Grace B Foulger married 1921 to Vicari but maybe not the same Grace. I couldn't find a death for Grace B Vicari.
Her date of birth deffinately matches Felicie, and you say Felecie first child was Grace. Maybe it was just Grace Beatrice liked the name Felecie better than her own.

Sorry my fault, it is Beatrice Grace - I'm getting name blindness. Beatrice Grace married Vicari and went to Australia not returning til after 1925 by which time my grandparents had married. She would have been two years older than Felicie. Thanks for all your help so far, let me know if you think of any other avenue to persue. Sals

Right thats her out,but if Felecie died 1961 age 61 how can Grace be two years in difference?
Can't find a Florence marrying a Richard Joyce. If Florence Rachel was abroad then it can't be her.
Just been viewing original 1911 census,it says married 16 years 8 children born 1 died 7 remaining children with themon census ,so why would they lie if they had another i.e Felecie.
I have also looked at military records for James Henry, there is an address 42 Rushton Road New York Road London, the one where you grandparents were was 42,Rushton St Hoxton are they one in the same? Maryb
1911 in 42,Rushton Street were a Mr Walter turner born 1885,there were also two other families lodging there with a total of 11 peolpe at that address. I wonder if it was a lodging house then and also in 1922?

Maryb,
I agree if they already had 7 children why lie about an extra one, it makes no sense, that's why I think she must be either a niece or something that they fostered/adopted/took in or something and she took the surname Foulger. The other thing that makes no sense is on all the cenrecords(christening records, census etc) James Henry is shown as a laborour but on the marriage cert grandmother says her father is a master draper. The address is definately the address of James Henry the soldier. His enlistment papers show 42 Hoxton Street and his parents and next of kin as James Henry and Florence Foulger. Beatrice Grace was christened Oct 1899. Grandma Felicie died in May 1961 and her age is given as 61 this would mean she was born in Feb 1900 not 1901, that would leave no time for her to be born after Beatrice Grace, if that is really her date of birth but there is still no birth cert that ties in in any way. You may be right about 42 Rushton Street being a boarding house, I've contacted the archivist at shoreditch and asked if they can check. I don't think I'm going to get an answer on this, looks like it's destined to remain a mystery! Thanks for all the looking you've been doing tho, Sals

Just to recap. James Henry Foulger 1901 was son of James and Florence nee Hodson.
James senior doesn't appear anywhere as James HENRY Foulger,I deffinately think you have to find the other James Henry Foulger a Master Draper who died prior to Felecie's marriage.
Easier said than done,I have trawled thruogh many and only found one James Foulger drapers assistant in 1901 but he was James J and was on 1911 census woth another occupation.
