Find Ancestors

Just received a marriage cert (1922 Preston) for Catherine Goody who I was hoping was daughter of William. Turns out it says father Richard.
Could someone please see if they can see a Catherine Goody / Goodey in 1911 aged 6/7 with a father Richard. She's exactly the same age as the Catherine I'm looking for and even the address on the cert is the same street as where my William died in 1930. Seems odd.

Yes, that's what I have. No idea why it says Father Richard on certificate.
Does the entry for William and Catherine's House have 52 Allan St ? That's what's on the marriage cert for bride Catherine aged 18 in 1922.

Do you have Richard's occupation? Just on the off-chance he can be located/eliminated 1911!

William is my Gt Grandfather.
Catherine Goody is my Grandmother's sister.
I didn't just pluck a marriage.. the age matched and I could find no other marriage for Catherine Goody. I ordered it to see who she married.
Richard's occupation is down as General Labourer (same as William has on his death cert.

Which is what William at number 54 has down on 1911 for his occupation.

Maybe the vicar/registrar was having a bad day or needed to use his ear trumpet?

Either that or the bride didn't know her own father's name !!
If you can't trust what it says on a certificate...... !

Hang on a minute ..... rewind....
I have William's death certificate - Nov 1910 (It was his wife who died in 1930 , my mistake.)
How does that compute with him being on the 1911 census ??
Something's not right here.

What benefit would there be in putting William's name on 1911 census if he already died in Nov 1910?

Did they possibly start taking the census early ?
It's definately his death cert I have, right address, age and everything,

What was his wifes name Michael?

And then Im going to think on this.

But on 1911 it says that C/Katherine and William have been married 21 yrs,which has been added by the enumerator as it is in Red,so that is wrong as they married 10 yrs earlier.

The other thing on that 1911 is that they say they have had 6 chidren and one died.

My maths are not brilliant but...

I do not think they are all this William and Catherines.

Where did the Charles aged 12 come from on 1901 for a start as he was not on 1891 !!

Also on 1901 William 1860 suddenly says he was born Colchester Essex?

This would appear to be that Charles Goody on 1901 aged 12,but I cant find him on 1891.
He has WW1 records on Ancestry though and was married by then.
