Find Ancestors

I have a marriage for William Eyre and Martha Shakesby in Hull 1862. Martha appears on the registry as Shakespear.
I cannot trace either of them after 1862 census when Martha is with her parents. I know nothing about Wm.
Before I send of for a cert. Does anybody recognise these two please?

Thanks Dee. That is the one but I can't seem to trace her after 1861 census.

What age was William on the marriage cert and what was his occupation please? Also what was his fathers name and occ.

Hi Dee,I don't think the Martha S with William the clerk to magistrates is the correct Martha.
It states in all census's that she was born in Liverpool.

William was married to Sarah in 1861 census and he was a Clerk to magistrate on that one too.

Same William in 1862 with previous wife???

Occ is the same as the census with Martha,
Clerk in magistrates Office, Police Court.

Also the Mary Parry on the census with Wm and Martha is a Step Dau.

She also dos'nt say how she got to William via any children they may have had.

Is it possible she married John Green??


She is stated as a mariners wife, the Browns should not be with her. Alot of Mariners died, so she could have been under a differnet name by 1881;

There are a load of trees on Ancestry with her family in them but nobody has her married!!!!

Perhaps they emigrated?

Carole seems to be working 'forward' rather than 'back'
