Yeah FBG I don't see anything that could be Dorothy in 1901, and I can't for the life of me find Mary /Jane Patrick in 1911, I think you could be right, well done! |

At this point may I just say then, that I have recently come into contact with my dad's half sister (whom I found through this site) and she states catagorically that at no time did she ever hear her father (William Usher) call her mother (Mary Jane) mary.... he always called her "Dot". I found that confusing as I none of my certificates state "Mary Jane Dorothy".... just Mary Jane!! |

Maybe she was legally Mary Jane but was known as Dorothy maybe she just prefered that name?? |

I don't know where dad was from his birth in 1922 to 1936. Although in his later years he signed a statutory declaration document where he states... "the persons whom I understood to be my parents were known to me as William Henry Usher and Mary Jane Usher. The said William Henry Usher and Mary Jane Usher raised me as a child and I knew no other persons as my parents". |
