Julie - you will have to send for cert. but I see that Mel has got him on 1901 on the 1911 census he is with an Uncle Harold Court (1873) and his wife Florence (1883) and their child Ivy (1910) and sister in law Lucy Moat

there is a death for a Sarah Stone in 1903 Canterbury which would fit nicely with her age, so I would assume that she died, and this is the one.
