It could well be, y only thought is that Mary's first child was born in 1911 in Llanbrdach, Glamorgan and so would she not have been in Wales for the 1911 census? |

Depends when in 1911 her child was born but probably yes. I was trying a process of elimation to check if the Northumberland Mary (with father William an Ag. Lab.) was actually your Mary. |

I might and indeed almost certainly am barking up the wrong tree but I don't see any births coming up for that Mary Ford / William Taylor marriage. So what I was considering was that perhaps Mary didn't live with her husband for very long and reverted to her maiden surname. It is possible that she was indeed a widow when she married Daniel - that may have been what delayed the wedding i.e. waiting for her first husband to die! |

Sorry if I'm having a blonde moment here but are you saying that the marriage between Mary Ford and William Evison Taylor is not the Mary that I'm looking for or that it is, and soon after marrying him she left him? Still not sure why I can't find her in the 1911 census though. Mary had her first born on 20 October 1911 in Llanbradach, South Wales after the census would have been done I think. |
