thank you madmeg its nice to know that people do appreciate people that work in care im a support worker and look after deaf blind people and i love my job just goes to show it does run in the family lol

thank you for all your information i have now managed to purchase the birth certificate of annie caveney which on her wedding certificate spelt kaveney and i now can confirm tha ellen cassidy is her mother she was born derbyshire 1855 but i am unable to find any information in the census and would appreciate if anybody would be able to find any information on her

Have spoken to the Chesterfield registry office and there are two annies born JAS 1884 Annie Kaveney that i applied for was wrong, there is another one born JFM 1884 but the spelling is Caveney and her father has been confirmed to be James, so i've applied for it... can any one tell me how i can find James and John in Ireland, thier births/parents/was there any census's please, thanks Sharon

hi all had no luck with the birth certificate they refunded me as the father apperently was different could anybody help me find anybody that has access to the irish records to help me find him thank you sharon

ann and all others thank you so much for the information and all your hard work im sorry i have not been avalible as i have been wrking hard doing 14and half hour shifts i know this may be a relevent but just wanted you all to know i am very greatful and wasnt egnoring you

ps ill take a look into all that sounds like the right person i am going to try and get the birth certificate as well for annie hopefully this will mean all yoru hard work has payed off

To answer your question was your grandma Annie the servant in 1891, well there's nothing you can do to prove it, other than look for another Annie in 1881 (I looked, can't see anything), in 1901, or a marriage to someone other than your grandad.

So we have James in 1871, 81 and 91, and his likely marriage.

No sign yet in 1861, but maybe still in Ireland.

Not looked in 1901. Off to eat!

1881 that Ann has found is DEFINITELY Cavney. (Not even Canvey as Ann suggested - slip of the finger Ann?).

Ann, I would gladly post the census for 1871 in Chesterfield, but I can't find it. Do you have the reference numbers?
