Thats the trouble, they liked to change there names about, I was thinking maybe Lily was'nt her name but she preffered that. I know two of my aunts have always been known by their middle names, but there are none there with a middle name of L apart from the Lily which does'nt help at all.

would there be any reason why no record of birth?
or is lily, lilian used for another name. as this family are know for this. fathers name is purrett spelt many ways but was known as george. another daughter was known as ellen but birth cert says nellie.

No not really unless you knew who she married then perhaps her date of birth would be on her death cert, then her birth could be narrowed down a bit

my mum was born 15th aug 1913, these are her sister who i am talking about, if that helps in any way.

that lily could possibly be the lily am looking for but guess ill have to wait and just order the cert. at some point.

the alice smith i am looking for which says in 1911 census born in 1907 there are about 10 alice smiths born in willesden in 1907/8
any idea how to narrow down?

London Baptisims only go up to 1906 anyway so you wont find it.
Have you got the cert of the child born in 1910?

just to note i ordered a birth cert. for lilian smith born in hendon which wasnt correct, this only leave lily smith born in willesden but if someone could check the baptism like they did for otheres which turned out to be right ill be very greatful

as i cant be certain for these on orderin there birth ceertificates i ahev the rest of there brothers and sisters.
