I have my grandmothers marrriage certificate it states her father as WILLIAM HENRY WILSON WAY deceased and this is in 1941 her mother i have as Mary W-Way as being aged 29 on the 1901 cenus although i have doubted this to be her true age as she died in 1947 aged 70? also the census states my g g gran as married but there was no mention of a husband on this census ,i hope i havent confused you |

Do you have your Grandmother's birth certificate? Is it possible that Marian Kate Way, aged 26 years on that 1891 census is her mother? I am wondering if the father's name on her marriage certificate is actually that of her Grandfather - given to save face? |

The William H. W. Way on the 1901 census in Abergavenny is described as married although he is a boarder and no wife there for him. |
