ive found the details on family search {extracted } yes they are phoebies father & mother in law
phoebies husband was bap nov 30th 1817
lve found the death for phoebe 1886
cant find a death for samuel miller as yet

on the 1851 census that freewheel found for me its got samuel miller 63 fanny miller 62
phoebe miller 33
is this phoebes father & mother in law
what age is samuel phoebies husband please ??

By the way and just for future reference, deleting a thread and then starting a new one and/or heading off to a lookup thread is not the way to get around the no multiple threads rule, not not not. It does very plainly break the rule whichi is about _posting_ threads not _having_ threads and it is completely unfair to anyone who has worked in the thread and to anyone who doesn't see it and then can't see it when the thing pops up again.

Okay, well I've never been a fan of lookup threads. To me it makes far more sense if a whole bunch of people pool their resources and talents and put their heads together and sift through something. There just isn't anything magical about a lookup thread and by posting in one, one just ensures that nobody else will see a question, because nobody else reads those threads, and that could mean missing out on valuable ideas. Trying to sort out who married whom and who were whose parents isn't a 'lookup' and from what I've seen there's a whole lot of 'lookup' requests go on that are just people who haven't succeeded in finding the unfindable in their own threads so off they trot to dump it on three or four lookup people none of whom know anybody else has touched it ........ fine, rant over. I'll just walk off scratching my head now! But yeah, for straightforward 'what children did joe blow and rachel roe who married in london in 1952 have' questions, that's a lookup, makes sense.

lesley has a popular thread on here bmd 1916 -2005 she helped me to trace details of a cousins marriage
i have now asked her to trace poss death & marr of another cousin
i have not asked her to trace partridges

Sorry David I don't have a clue what Lesley's thread is and why you want to ask her about Partridges, still.

the reason i said i was going to delete was i was intending to ask lesley about partridges on her thread and i know you cant have 2 threads on the same subjects thats why but i wont bother
i will be asking her to search for a cousin of mine next

and it is possible that the parents are the same John and Elizabeth and did have a replacement Phoebe. But the place is crawling with Partridges and they could be two different couples a generation apart.

What is the connection between Phoebe 1803 and Eliza Partridge whosit or Elizabeth (Turner?) Chappel?

He's alone in 1841 and there is no other John or any Elizabeth in/born in Seaton either year so that one set of parents two Phoebes theory seems reasonable.

That's just for others reading David it's the one where I dredged up every Partridge ... I guess I should say flushed out every Partridge hahaha ... in that part of Devon. Well..... obviously not I guess.

Why not just ask here since there are lots of people who all have access to the same databases and records and asking someone else outside of the thread where the discussion is happening just isn't quite kosher since they are in the dark about all the rest of it.

so the phoebe that is married to samuel miller could be the 2nd phoebe

Certs were not issued for ANY events until July 1837
