The Kensington and Chelsea District School/ Cottage Homes was in Fir Tree Road Banstead on the North Downs in Surrey. The London Metropolitan Archives hold many records for the children who resided at the school as well as some entry registers. Some children spent 15 years or more in the school. The local history group (Banstead History Research Group) published a 100-page book on the history of the school, in Dec 2010. Just search for 'BHRG' to find their website. |
