Hello Jill
Christine in Portugal came up with that info earlier on but did not give me a birth address
He was born Charterhouse Square, Middlesex, London, England
does that tie in with what you have???
Perhaps there were more codicils to the will
Thank god it is readable The will I have is 11 pages long.............

His medal card comes up when you type his full name in Ancestry:
Stanley S Ayres [Stanley Stephen Ayres] Regiment or Corps: 2nd County of London Yeomanry, Royal Fusiliers, Machine Gun Corps Regimental Number: 1855, 1855, 1855
Plus his birth record as well.

If it is Stanley traveling to and back from US in 1919 then he'd not be on the CWCG or 1914-1918 War Dead.. ?

Could he have been disinherited?
That could be another reason for his name to be missing from codicils
