just ask at the desk in Preston - they will help you through the system of ordering the copy of the will to look at. They are in large bound books in beautiful copperplate - really lovely to see |

let us know the outcome. Last time I ordered a will it took abt 3 weeks. It's worth having a full copy but if you want basic info a bit faster (like benficiaries but without writing down all the 'being of sound mind etc') I will see what I can find next time I wander into the Lancs RO |

I went to Liverpool records office yesterday but all of their viewing machines where booked (boooooooooooo),but I did find 2 will and probate records relating to Joseph and his grandson John. |

you would not get any more detail than what the parish records have said. There will be no other record, except perhaps banns - the one I gave you is from the site |

Thanks Ann on the burial register it still says shipwright for Joseph and he was 81.On various census he is an ironmonger,shipwright or carpenter jack of all trades probably |
