Found this record Free BMD but ancestry does not appear to identify it.

In the 1911 census there is child Thomas born Christmas 1906 (grandchild) (see above Oct 2009) - I have his birth cert which shows mother to be a Catherine Conmy father unknown but have never been able to find a Catherine.

Can anyone see anything about this Catherine?

Have just found this on Find my past - York Union Workhouse, but no other family living there - were children "dumped" at workhouses - if speculative marriage correct Frank would be a widower in 1881

I have got the certificate for Thomas 1906 the Grandson which shows mother Catherine, father unknown.

Thomas the grandson was brought up by his aunt Mary Beatrice Conmy b1891 my Gt Grandmother along with her own children.

Have only found a Catherine Casterton married to a Arthur Casterton in Basford Notts on 1911 cenus and then dies shortly after.

Looks like Catherine became a Casterton as Emily became Lamport but short lived
