Carol, read your subject line -- it now says:

Is there anyone who can tell me where to look up I

You used more words than the line allows. It still doesn't mean anything. Why don't you just take Dea's advice and make your thread title

Irish help please - Nagle family

? People are not likely going to click to read a 3-page thread that has no subject.

Hi Carol,

Your thread title just says 'trying to find' - It won't catch the attention of the Irish researchers.

As I suggested earlier - go to your first post and click on edit then change the thread name to something like.... Irish help please - Nagle family.

Right-possibly this one-?
St Michael the Archangel, Hills Terrace. Church built 1862-3, formerly at Brompton. Original registers from 1802.

And Dea-praise and trust. Sounds like you're the family lab retriever. Stupid of me. Of course I meant to give you a compliment.
And a 000 and xxx

Hi Maureen,

I think you just paid me a compliment ??

Anyway, I too have trawled 'city Ark (brilliant site if you have relations in Medway !!) - I couldn't find the marriage!!

I think the problem is that this is a 'Roman Catholic' family and I don't know which church in Gillingham or Chatham is RC??

They were in St Philip? district but that is not RC - I believe there was one in Old Brompton but can't find it??

I love it when others (especially Dea) have come to the same conclusions. NAGLE
I've done a decent trawl through Cityark for the Chatham 1888 marriage. Could have missed something with my eyes wide open, though.

I am not convincd that this connects as it is a little late for the expected marriage (They were probably married in Ireland|).
However, I will post it for you just in case it connects later:

Carol,

There is a member on here called Lucie who has the Nagle family in her tree.

Do a tree search at top of page and send her a message. - I believe she will be able to help.

I believe I have found her !!!!!

Possible deaths?- has to be between 1891 when she was on census and 1896 when Henry remarried !!

HUNT Elizabeth 25 - Abt 1866 Neath.11a 538 2 1891

****HUNT Elizabeth 29 - Abt 1864 Medway.2a 378 3 1893 ??????? - Kent - possible ****

HUNT Elizabeth 23 - Abt 1870 Southampton.2c 10 3 1893
HUNT Elizabeth 31 - Abt 1864 Pontypridd.11a 255 4 1895
HUNT Elizabeth Ann L 26 - Abt 1867 Edmonton.3a 178 2 1893 traced through + discounted !

Having discounted the Edmonton one, the only other which seemed likely was the Medway one (she had stated that
she was born in Woolwich)

Marriages Mar 1888
-----------------------------

**HUNT Henry Alfred Medway 2a 679
**NAGLE Elizabeth Medway 2a 679
Payne William George Medway 2a 679
Saunders Ellen Rose Medway 2a 679

Couldn't find one born c 1867 but age at death in 1893 had been 29, therefore birth date c 1864...

Bingo:.......................

Births Dec 1863 - ( District included Woolwich) !!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NAGLE Elizabeth Greenwich 1d 691

I will try to trace her on previous census to further confirm
