Not sure, During the First World War he was 1st Lt' Officer in The 1/13th London Regiment ( Transport Section) who were known as the Kensington Boys. In 1940 he was promoted to Captain and transferred to The Royal Army Service Corps. He must have done something outstanding to have such an honour given to him. |

Have found his service card and copied it. He was in France and it says MBE on it. |
