Hi there. I am at the moment trying to trace this link in the family. Lady callled Eva Ada Casbolt, nee Bartlett born in Wickford in 1903. Her mother was Elizabeth Bartlett, married to a James. Elizabeths maiden name was Smith. Her mother maiden name was Michelinburg, Michleberg, something like this (not sure how it is spelled. I cannot get a grip on where to start. Can anyone throw me a lifeline? |

Since Wickford is Ireland, I'm assuming, you may drown before any of us can help! ;) |

Ok Wickford in Essex, uk. My husbands family. I have spoken tonight to his aunt who told me that her mother was Eva, and Evas mother was German but the name is Michleburg. This was her maiden name. |

Yes June, this is correct. I have this info. Eva was the oldest resident in Wickford when she died. A lovely lady. I am just wanting to put together the tree on this side. The Bartletts all came from Wickford/Dagenham areas. It is this German lady I want to trace. Elizabeth Bartlet had a sister called Mariah. So Smith is the maiden name. I am looking at the mo but nothing on it. |

Teresa - you had that info. No one else did. For someone to try to assist in a search, we need all the info. Like the dates of birth, family members' names, etc. If you don't offer it, we have to go looking for it. |

Thanks ladies. I have this info on the Bartletts already. With names of Moses and Herbert which I got tonight, they were the easy ones. Any ideas on the German lady?? |

Sorry Jayne. Yes that is correct. Eva Bartlett, maiden name, was daughter of Elizabeth Smith, maiden name. Elizabeths mother was Michelburg, maiden name. |

Problem is ... there's no marriage in Essex of James Bartlett + Elizabeth Smith. |

The first children of Elizabeth were born in 1890. There were James, Richard Lizzy and Eva was the youngest. I am positive they would have been married in Wickford |

Looks like that birth cert is the only likely source of info ... with a name like Smith! |
