There was only one parish church in Great Yarmouth - St Nicholas - until 1714. In that year St George's Chapel was founded but it has no separate registers until the late 19th century: before that all Anglican baptisms, marriages and burials in Great Yarmouth are to be found in the Great Yarmouth St Nicholas registers

From the 17th century, there was a workhouse in Great Yarmouth Market Place. A new workhouse was built in 1839, now the Northgate Hospital. No admission or discharge records are known to have survived for either workhouse, but there are Workhouse Master's reports, 1869-71 and 1902-4, (reference Y/WE 298-299) and a list of people in the Workhouse, c. 1938-40 (Y/WE 300).
Poor Law Guardians' minutes survive 1837-42, 1859-61, 1889-91, 1910-30 (see list Y/WE). Guardians' minutes up to c. 1850 do mention names of paupers, but after this date individuals are named much less frequently.

Another possible death but this time in Yarmouth...where all the children were born.

Deaths Jun 1843

Some of their children are in the workhouse in 1851 I believe.

David,

It is kerenhappuch LOTCH

DAVEY, Elijah Marriage
Wife: Kerenhappuch LOTCH
Marriage Date: 30 Jul 1827 Recorded in: Yarmouth, Norfolk, England
Collection: St Nicholas
Source: FHL Film 1526456 Dates: 1806 - 1848

I believe Charlottes father on the first marriage was down as Silversmith.....forgive me if I am not being correct but is that not an occupation that perhaps was common in the Jewish trades., Maybe her father was also a Lotch but "adopted" or used the name Gowing ?
