Thank you for the information that you gave me on July 4th regarding the FRY's in Dublin it has been most helpful. My sincere apology for the belated thank you as I haven't been near a computer since with one crisis and then another.

Memorial details Church/Graveyard CLIFDEN CHURCH OF IRELAND Description of Church/Graveyard A notice in the Church gives an extensive history of which the following is a précis. The first church was built by John D’Arcy of Clifden castle with a grant of £500 from the Board of First Fruits. He died in 1839 and his estate was inherited by his son Hyacinth who was forced to sell due to heavy mortgages and loss of rental during the Famine. Hyacinth D’Arcy had a leg amputated in 1837 and spent much of his time on his yacht to ease the weight on his leg before becoming trained as a Rector and was installed in the parish in 1851. He rebuilt the church in 1857. In 1961 it was partially rebuilt due to storm damage. Memorial details Church/Graveyard ARDBEAR Description of Church/Graveyard Situated about one mile south of Clifden and mostly served the Catholic community. The quantity of large ornate high cross memorials indicates the increasing wealth of the Catholic merchant class from c. 1880. The older part of the graveyard is overgrown with mature trees, which may obscure earlier memorials centred around what appears to be a holy well. County Galway Type GRAVEYARD Memorial Two associated memorials, one with inscriptions on both sides. 1) Sacred to the memory of Mary Frances Connolly the duly beloved wife of Redmond J Connolly who departed this life on the 17th Octr 1895 aged 37 years and Redmond J Connolly solicitor who died 7th August 1900 aged 55 years and of his daughter Ethel who died 18th May 1904 aged 19 years also their daughters Dolly who died Feb 26 1916 Olive died Jany 29th 1917 2) In loving memory of John J Connolly J.P. Clifden who died November 15th 1911 aged 65 years and of his mother Margaret O’Keefe who died April 23rd 1894 aged 67 years (2nd side) also of his sister Mary O’Connell who died October 13th 1912 aged 60 years and of her son James O’Connell who died June 10th 1902 aged 30 years Don't know whether any of these will help Regards Lorraine

Memorial details Church/Graveyard BUSHY PARK Description of Church/Graveyard According to a plaque the local residents to commemorate the 150th anniversary of its first foundation in 1837 rebuilt the Roman Catholic church. It is likely that burials date from this period. In the porch is a portrait of The Very Rev Peter Daly P.P.V.G. and Chairman of the Galway Town and Harbour Commissioners, 1791-1868. The graveyard has many ornate box tombs and memorials and indicates that it served the emerging Catholic gentry and merchants of the Town as well as the local agricultural community. County Galway Type CHURCH Memorial Pray for the repose of the soul of the Rev Peter Daly P.P.V.G. who departed this life on the 29th Sept 1868 and whose remains are interred in this church before this monument. Hi This is a very long shot and it may be a little too early but could you see if there is a mention of a George Perry Miltown, Westmeath, a surgeon. I have him there in the 1850's. If he is there anything related to family would be gratefully received. Thank you
