I don't know where you find all this information so quickly, I definately think you have put me on the right track, i have been picking my mums brains but she doesn't remember much, other than she said her dad william fell out with his mum margaret, and didn't like the fact he was illegitimate, she also remembers a man they used to call uncle Bill and i think that will be the chap you have just found. Thankyou Brenda, I have to go to bed also, I have a gut feeling about your findings, I think you were right about Bell being her maiden name. I have found an Elizabeth Boardman living with relatives and she is listed as niece, this could be Boardman Child. But like you say i won't be hasty, Many Many Thanks, Have lovely Dreams Helen

Moody Blue you are brilliant at this, It certainly makes sense that the child would go to Grandparents, So Robert must be Margaret Boardman nee Bell's Dad.

Oh my Goodness, I think you are right, I have just re read what you sent and yes it could be, i will have to redo my tree, i have gone off in completely the wrong direction, lol, i have added someone elses relatives to my tree, oh dear. This is very confusing. So poor James died when he was 30 and poor Margaret would have been a young widow, that is so sad, perhaps another family took on her child.? Thanks so very very much

Sorry Moody Blue just replied but i don't know where it went. I never thought of Bell being her maiden name, it could be, but i wonder what happened to Boardman and the child, I do know that the L stands for Longworth and is the middle name of the children in the 1891 census, the plot thickens, its getting even more exciting Thanks again.
