My goodness...

Yes Henry Horsely was married to Sarah Lumley.

He was a very unfortunate chap.... leaving a public house one evening, he was attacked and left for dead, he died 3 days later in his brother house, leaving Sarah with 5 children and 1 on the way... His wife gave birth the evening he was attacked so was unable to be with him at the end...

Mary Elizabeth Dunn born 1880 in hexham,in 1901 census she is aged 20 and a widow she is a servant for a john Hudspeth a railway plate layer born 1866.
Also with her is Mary Elizabeth Dunn aged 2 born Addison Durham.
So this would fit with her getting married 1898 having child 1899 and frank dying 1899,poor woman.

Yep! Me too. But she couldn't have married Henry unless she was a Widow or the previous marriage was annulled for some reason. Divorce for working class couples was generally out of the question.
So it seems she was a widow and the Frank Dunn posted previously is the wrong one. My apologies for that I should have looked for a death first.

I have found through my research that cousins have married each other on a few occasions. Once 2 sisters married 2 brothers. So a Dunn/Coulthard connection would not surprise me at all. I will look into that.

Also another tree has aFrank Norman Dunn 1878-1922 parents were john Dunn and elizabeth Coultard born 1849,daughter of elizabeth 1822 her parents tomothy Coulthard 1795 and margaret.
This frank wasn't yours i don't think but i thought there might be a connection with your Coulthards.

These are the Frances Coulthards on the 1911 and the 1909 would fit your couple but the second name suggests a mothers maiden name and there is a birth on the index.

All children were registered after 1911 with the mother's maiden name which is the name of her birth parents and not the name she acquired through any previous marriages. So all of her children would be registered with MMN Batey and not Dunn.
