I noticed that in 1891 Jane Kitching is with the Bridgman family,
Name: Jane Kithing Age: 49 Estimated birth year: abt 1842 Relation: Head Gender: Female Where born: Paddington, London, England Civil Parish: Clerkenwell Ecclesiastical parish: St Phillips County/Island: London Country: England Street address:
Occupation:
Condition as to marriage:
Education:
Employment status:
View image Registration district: Holborn Sub-registration district: Amwell ED, institution, or vessel: 3a Neighbors: View others on page Piece: 224 Folio: 105 Page Number: 44 Household Members: Name Age Jane Kithing 49 John Fawcett 21 <<<<<< son
On the 1881 census for a Jane ( posted pg1) there is a Henry boarding with them, I'm pretty sure his surname is Bridgman and has been transcribed incorrectly. I think there is a definite link to the Kitching family and Constance is linked to them.

The Baptism reads Warham but the top of the "h" is crossed through making it look like an "n" so may read Warnam

Constance is listed as ,
Warham in 1911.....bn Holborn.
Although her birth registration isnt in the online index, have you applied to Camden Town Hall Judd St London where the registers are kept,,,its not unusual for an entry to be missed, the transcriptions that appear online are not how they are listed in the large ledgers that they were transcribed from onto fiche.
Ancestry shows a London baptism for,
Constance May Warman.

Hi John,
Is this your grandmothers death?
Name: Constance May Cato Birth Date: 9 Nov 1894 Date of Registration: Jun 1982 Age at Death: 87 Registration district: Lewisham Inferred County: London Volume: 14 Page: 0524
If it is, was 9th Nov definitely the day she celebrated her birthday?
If that's not her death, do you know when she celebrated her birthday? I'm just trying to cut the possible reg quarters down.

On that question, the ones that strike me are:
Mary Warnham abt 1873 Lewisham, Kent, England Servant Lewisham, London
Charlotte Warnham abt 1875 Woolwich, Kent, England Servant Lewisham, London
sisters?
In 1901:
Emily Wornham abt 1872 Lewisham, Kent, England Visitor St Paul, London
Mary Wornham abt 1873 Lewisham, London, England Servant Lewisham, London
That name does seem to be Wornham -- in 1891, Charlotte could be either, but Mary is pretty clearly Wornham.
Marriages Jun 1891 Wornham Mary Ann St. Saviour 1d 181
I can't find any further definite record of Charlotte or Emily. Unless
Deaths Sep 1937 Wornham Emily W 68 Camberwell 1d 522
1911 WORNHAM EMILY 1872 39 Bromley Kent
No birth record for any Charlotte.
Births Sep 1870 Wornham Emely Lewisham 1d 797 Births Sep 1872 Wornham Mary Lewisham 1d 867 Births Sep 1884 Wornham Henry Lewisham 1d 1139
Marriages Jun 1869 GILLETT Thomas *Woolwich* 1d 1010 Skudder Job Armstrong Lewisham 1d 1010 Smith Rosetta Lewisham 1d 1010 > WORNHAM Joseph Lewisham 1d 1010
Sigh, a spare groom *and* a missing bride. And I can't find them in 1881.
1871 in Lewisham:
Joseph Wornham 29 Mary Wornham 25 Emily Wornham 9 Months
So this is our missing bride:
PANTER Mary Ann Lewisham 1d x101x
So I've submitted a correction, but I haven't found a connection!
Lordy; 1881 in Woolwich:
Joseph W. Tillwornham 39 Mary Wornham Tillwornham 35 Emily Tillwornham 10 Mary Tillwornham 8 Joseph Tillwornham 6 Ellen Tillwornham 5
Interesting. He is shown as Joseph W ?ill Wornham.
This is all on the idea that since there are no Warnham suspects available, it's entirely possible that the surname was Wornham and aunt and uncle Bridgman didn't have the correct spelling.
There is no birth of an Ellen Warnham to go with this marriage ... oh, cripey, another mess-up at FreeBMD:
Marriages Mar 1916 Barham Lucy Holder Camberwell 1d 1648 Holder Harry J Barham Camberwell 1d 1648 Rothwell Albert F Hall Camberwell 1d 1648 > Warnham Ellen Abel Camberwell 1d 1648
Abel William G Warnham Camberwell 1d x2445x
And I just wondered whether this birth might be related; can't find her in 1901 (she married in 1919 in Lambeth):
Births Jun 1897 Warnham Charlotte Eleanor St. Saviour 1d 59
Anyhow.
The theory is that Constance May's mother was Wo/arnham, but she was registered in the father's name, and then went by her mother's name ... one of several possible theories ... and that this family has several eligible young women in it ...

Choccy's post at the bottom of page 1 about Jane "Kitcheny" still had me thinking.
The name is actually Kitching. This is likely the marriage
Marriages Sep 1862 Kitching Charles Blake St James 1a 760 Rider Jane St James 1a 760
and the household in 1881 in St Andrews -- Holborn reg dist:
Charles Kitching 41 Jane Kitching 39 Annie Kitching 15 Henry Bidenew 21
A possibly interesting marriage:
Marriages Mar 1903 Gigg Frank Ernest W. Ham 4a 2 ? Kitching Thomas W. Ham 4a 2 ? Mason Annie Rebecca W. Ham 4a 2 Price Myra Ellen W. Ham 4a 2 Wasmuth George Robert W. Ham 4a 2
There's no Annie Rebecca Mason birth to go with that marriage.
But now ... Annie Mason who married Walter Bridgman wouldn't have had a sister named Annie. ;) But maybe a widowed sister in law?
This is making my head spin a bit, but ... there are two possible Annie Rebecca marriages to a Mason, 1887 and 1895. The 1895 one would make sense, if she had a child before that marriage.
Marriages Dec 1895 Gill Joseph Edward Poplar 1c 1105 ? Lloyd Annie Rebecca Poplar 1c 1105 ? Mason Thomas Poplar 1c 1105 Moles Louisa Poplar 1c 1105 Sheldrake Henrietta Poplar 1c 1105
Births Mar 1892 LLOYD Constance May Hitchin 3a 527
But CM Lloyd is with parents in Hitchin in 1901, so that kills that.
I think that went nowhere but I'm going to leave it here in case it inspires someone else. Choccy's general idea, of a possible connection between Jane Kitching and either the Bridgmans or Constance May, seemed worth considering.
Meanwhile, what Warnhams are there in the general vicinity in 1891 who could be a parent? ...
