william georgewas born in sawbridgeworth herts, his wife was born in hook on beech sussex, now william was born in 1883 and his wife was born in 1880, i've tried looking for william george's wife in earlier cenus but i couldn't find her, i traced william george in 1891 and he is living with his parents and younger siblings, but no record of him in 1901 |

Sylvia | Report | 5 Apr 2009 08:30 |
according to the cenus william george was a nursery gardener so this ties into all the info i already had, so there is a strong possiblity that william a is my grandfather |

if this is the right william then i've been looking for him in the wrong place, i've been looking for him in london, but then that totally messed up my family tree, but yes he did die in jan 1970 at hammersmith hospital, so his death would of been recorded at hammersmith registry office, on the 1911 cenus does it tell you what william g's occupation is, cos if he is the right person then william g should be a gardener |

none of the winesses were gregory i don't have his death cert, but my dad says he's going to try and get a copy as he only lives a short distance from where he died, if you want i can tell you where he died if that will help, but other than that i cant tell you anything else cos i was a baby when he died |

i got george from the 1901 cenus i then traced him in the 1911 cenus, but after i realised he had changed his job, i then noticed that he had a wife and child, so then i thought that possibly george's younger sister might of been the natural mother and george broght up the child as his own, but after a lot of response i realised that i was barking up the wrong tree, so i went to the 1891 cenus i found that george had an older sister but she was not at home in 1901, so then i thought that she could be the natrual mother, but again after a lot of response i realised i was still barking up the wrong tree, so now i'm stuck, i had thought possibly that my william may of been an illigitamate child of george and when his william died he went and found his other william and brought him back, but i cant prove this so any help will be greatly recieved |

When did William Andrew marry and how old was he? |
|||
|
Sylvia | Report | 3 Apr 2009 19:46 |
according to william andrew's marriage cert his father was a gardener, now i clocked george gregory (market)gadener in 1901 and he was living with his parents, and in 1911 he has a wife and child but not my grandfather, now i have shaken lots of trees but nothing it's like he doesn't exist, but i have photos, so i've been wondering if possibly he was registered under his middle name then christened wiliam andrew later. i also cant find wiliam andrew in the 1911 cenus, so i was wondering if he was born after the cenus was done |
