Ahhh, looks like Doris' Mum died in Canada- perhaps why Doris and Laura were sent to their Grandparents. This is them in 1916: |

OK- so this looks like them in 1911 in Canada. Robert arrived 1907, so must've gone after returning to UK from South Africa. Dorothy/ Doris, Laura and Mary/ Maria arrived in 1909: |

Despite the passenger list of them returning to the UK in 1907 I don't see them together on the 1911 England census. |
