Thanks for getting back to me regarding fee's for certificates.
Don't know whats going on at my end but every time i use the links that you are giving me it take me to a sight that charges 25 quid. i refuse to pay that much.
I have a very clever and patient hubby who spent about 3 hours tracing back to the sight i'd used about 1 month ago, and i paid 7 quid.

Hopefull the marriage certificate will give addresses for brides and bridegroom and occupations of the groom and the both the father

also make a note of the witnesses (maybe brothers or sisters)

now start looking at the census records working backwards from 1911 (or skip this one) & 1901

You were kind enough to help me out, and point me in the right direction a couple of weeks ago, regarding my grand father HENRY CHARLES SMITH. I now have the marriage certificate. He was married on the 10th June 1916, he was 31 years old. The writting isn't very clear, but it looks like his fathers name was HURCLES THOMAS SMITH. So where do i go now please.
