What was your dad's mothers name and maiden name? |

Thanks for you reply. |

My nanas date of birth was 11th October 1921 - my mum seems to recall. |

Do you know the names of any of your Grandad's siblings, this might help to narrow the area down. |

Searched for birth, 1921 anywhere and came up with nothing, so I extended the search to 1921 +/- 1yr and found these two. The first is Lancashire but the second is Staffordshire so could well be your nana's birth unless your mum is certain of the date of birth! |

These would be siblings of the Ethel Camm above:- |

My dad recalls an Aunt Eliza, however he knows that his dad was one of many. |

There are 2 Albert Turners registered Jun Qtr (which would be the one for 31st March birth)1924 in Staffordshire. |

Nope. My nana had a brother called Ron. He is still alive but very old and doesn't remember anything really. I've not had the opportunity to meet him about this so been unable to ask him anything. I think she had other brothers and sisters too though. |

You really need to find the marriage of Albert and Ethel to find out Albert's father's name. |

Where would I find that? |

Catherine | Report | 9 Dec 2008 20:25 |
Your Grandad was born 31st March, so his birth would have been registered in the June quarter of 1924. The following are all births for Albert Turner, 1924 anywhere:- |

I mentioned above, not sure if yu saw it, my dad recalls an aunt Eliza or Elizabeth. He says his dad was one of many however his aunt Eliza is the only one he remembers. |

The marriage can be found on Ancestry or Findmypast but they are subscription sites. |

This would be your Grandad's death record:- |

Hi, |

Nicola | Report | 9 Dec 2008 20:50 |
How do I find his father's name and his mother's first name? |
|||
|
Catherine | Report | 9 Dec 2008 21:11 |
You can find siblings on freebmd.org when you have the mothers maiden name, but unfortunately this research is only available after 1911 and up to the date that the records have been transcribed which varies according to the district, but which is usually about 1930. (if I remember correctly) |

I searched for a marriage for male Camm to female Forrest, in Staffordshire and found this which seems to fit as the name of the husband is the same as that of one of the children (Soloman):- |
