David i still wonder about this death index,would it be worth a check as to who's child he was to rule out that he wasnt the one baptised? |

No, it wouldn't be. Electoral lists show a Thomas Edward Cook and Esther Cook living at 45/46 Cecil Street, Birmingham in 1925. My grandparents were actually living around the corner at 116 New Summer St at the time (though not shown on the electoral lists until around 1926, when Ellen appears). They did live at 46 Cecil Street when daughter Ellen Rose was born in 1922. 45 and 46 were together - 45 was a shop. |

I don't know - possibly not - if she was named on the baptism - he was 3 weeks old at the time. |
