Hi Janice I have found another message on the message board of someone looking for claus nielson who married a mary bawden and had a son called george henry. Could it be the father of william.The message says claus was a merchant seaman.

I am completely baffled by all this information you have sent I have no idea what all this means. My father is going to the devon records office tomorrow to get the marriage and birth certificates for william, george and ellen so maybe that may turn up something.
