Couls you poss look at the cenusus again for me 1841 and see if any other william redfords as something doesn't match up.
william redford b 1821 could of been living with another william redford b 1821-7 and his wife mary and their 8 children.

I am looking for Emma Ware c1855 Cardiff, have found her on 1881 census where she is married to Watkin Joseph, but cannot find a birth for her or who her parents may be, Found their marriage on BMD, Brecknock 1879

I think you need to get the marriage certificate to see father's name.

on another note, i don't know if you can help me knock down a brick wall that has been standing for almost 8 years.

On my G G Grandfathers marriage cert his father is listed as William Aldridge, occ: Captain, (marriage cert: 1891 Henry Aldridge, occ: Merchant Seaman) I have Henry's death cert as well (1900) but have not been able to find him in the 1881/1891 census as i have no idea where he was born, but on his children's birth certs (i have copies) he is down as Henry George Alldridge, occ: Merchant Seaman. The address of where he was living at the time of his marriage is down as 36 Park Street, Poplar.

Not sure if you can find him or his birth.

His age is out by a couple of years for marriage / Death. M=25 yrs D=32 yrs

I think that you have asked me this before. I have searched again and found no entry.

If he was a Master Mariner he may have been at sea when census was taken.

Relationships are not given on 1841 census. The men were all Fishermen.

I do not know if it means anything. On the census page the first three people, William 20, Jane 15 and William 3 mnths are bracketed to-gether.
