i would just like a few tips as to where to search to sort this out


i have the "gut " feeling that this is my ethel rabbitts

but the parents are wrong


however

my ethel rabbitts was removed from her parents by barnados in 1928 (born 1917)

by 1933 she was in barndos Hove convalsecent home

i have nothing for her after that

no marriage or death


then i get a message from oz

any help very much appriciated

none with mmn ferkin

Do you both have copies of the certs?

I presume so if both parents are named.

Why can you not send a copy and then compare the certs.

no glitter

i dont have the cert

as i have seen it in the regs and seen the orginal baptism record at the records office i didnt think it necessary to get the cert


the lady in oz now informs me she does not have the cert

will try and find out where she got her info

the resemblance to my Rabbitt family is striking!

I've trawled the canada sites offered but cant see any Rabbitts, yet Aunty that wrote the book said some went there..... the plot is very sticky !
I looked for rabbit/clifton children after the marriage but dont find any... 2 Harry Cliftons in the Directory grocer or baker ?Red Herring ???
The only thing I have on the marriage is that she would have been 21 ??
